Kumulus mission is to solve the problem of drinking water scarcity in the Middle East and Africa.

Our machines have the size of a mini fridge, produce 30 liters of drinking water per day using only solar power and humidity in the air, they can be controlled and monitored remotely and are lightweight.

Kumulus raised USD 1M of equity and non dilutive from Business Angels and institutional investors. 
We are not raising at this stage but would love to keep contact with interested parties who have insights on the market (for advise and also for the next funding round expected for 2023)

Iroko Analytics, a Techstars portfolio company, provides European timber traders with the analytics they need to comply with their EU Timber Regulation obligations.

Our subscription platform gathers and summarizes all of the documents needed by EU timber traders to meet their due diligence requirements, ensuring the legality of imported timber, even down to the shipment level. 

Every logging concession is linked to its respective contracts, social agreements, tax records, third-party reports, satellite imagery, as well as the laws of both exporting and importing countries.

Mavuno is an Agri & FinTech startup empowering African smallholder farmers with a satellite imagery and machine learning driven subscription for pre-financed farm inputs and services, doubling their yield.

Founded in 2021, we now have almost 5,000 Tanzanian cashew farmers registered on our platform. Thereof almost 3,000 are receiving our services in 2022 growth season for subscription fees amounting to more than $600k. Our team is distributed acrossTanzania (18), Kenya (1), Switzerland (1) and Germany (4).

Since the beginning of techstars we have launched a new sales channels : partners.
They are consultant working with factories for efficiency missions.
They all love our solutions, because They need it to do their mission, when a lot of the times their is no data.

Beehive monitoring system that boosts productivity and honey yield to benefit the Earth through data-driven beekeeping. Our software and devices such as Smart Beehive Scales help beekeepers mitigate risks and enable informed decisions.

This journey started serendipitously in 2020 at an IoT hackathon where Ru, a self taught web-developer with a marketing background, met Girts, an experienced electronics engineer, who's dad is a hobby beekeeper. The first prototype was created in 36 hours and we won the first place from both the judging panel and the audience. The company was initially registered in Latvia but we recently flipped to The Netherlands.

Bees are essential to food security as 3/4 of crops depend on them. Our most-productive pollinators are threatened by pesticides, invasive predators and climate change, hence, beekeepers have huge losses as they are finding their traditional methods aren’t working as well anymore. Also, honey production severely depends on adequate colony management practices, such as timely adding of supers during periods of peak nectar flow.

In the future we aim not only to be the global leaders in beehive monitoring but also work with various stakeholders in agriculture through data-driven pollination as it's essential for maximizing crop yield, quality and shelf life.
