Secondary Saturdays - 10/15

Not your Grandparents' Weekend Programming.
Introducing our new, fresh take on secondary markets, later-stage VC, and growth equity.
Powered by ApeVue's proprietary data, Adam Hardej and Tom White host Stonks' newest show: Secondary Saturdays.
We love two things at Stonks: alliteration and the creation of compelling content (see what we did there?). Unfortunately, there exists a real dearth of quality information and clean data about the machinations of private markets. With more companies staying private for longer, this leaves smaller investors at a real disadvantage:
- Do they roll the dice and potentially overpay for secondary shares of a hot, overvalued unicorn?
- Do they wait until a company's eventual IPO and risk becoming exit liquidity for early investors and employees? *2021's IPOs have entered the chat...*
Talk about a rock and a hard place...
Secondary Saturdays strives to make the opaque world of private markets a bit more transparent, to thrust private discussions and professional dealmaking from cigar-smoke-filled rooms out into the public forum for all to see.
From banter to bold predictions, snark to sound effects, Secondary Saturdays brings levity and insight to that which has been static, stolid, and serious for far too long.
This week, we hit the ground running in our pilot episode. Adam and Tom quickly run through ApeVue, the platform helping us keep track of secondary pricing data. With the help of producer Davis McCondichie, we capture some soundbites for our sound board and set the casual, unfiltered tone.
Picture Saturday vibes with substantial commentary; a true match made in heaven. Tune into this week's episode and hear our take on:
- Elon's purchase of Twitter is back on track
- Venture Debt—so HOT right now
- Who led the pack in deal activity during a slow month for VC?
- Patreon is down bad. What does that mean for the creator economy amidst a deteriorating macroeconomic backdrop?
Head on over to YouTube to see these pundits pontificate about powerful pricing action—whew—and to catch a glimpse of ApeVue's comprehensive charts.
For the audiophiles out there, listen, subscribe, rate, et al (you know the drill, people) on either Spotify or Apple.
Until next weekend, just remember: Saturdays are for Secondaries!
